NPBA returns with action-packed weekend

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The New Providence Basketball Association (NPBA) returned with a jam-packed weekend of action. 

 

A total of five games were played across two divisions at the A.F. Adderley Gymnasium. 

 

On Friday, the Aliv Buckets beat the Leno Eagles Nest 96-92 in overtime in Division II play. Dylan Musgrove had 35 points to lead the way for Aliv. He also grabbed 17 rebounds in the win. Donte Deveaux paced Leno with 28 points. 

 

Also in Division II, the Breezes High Flyers defeated the CARO Contractors Resistance 89-63. Dave Davis and Brendon Stubbs scored 17 points each in the win. 

 

And in Division I play, the Leno Regulators edged the CARO Contractors Pirates 91-85. Renard Baillou had 25 points and 17 rebounds for the Regulators. Kenneth Pratt had 21 and Jason Mitchell chipped in with 11 points in the win. 

 

On Saturday, there was just one Division II game played. In the opener, the Regulators topped the Pros 93-90. Baillou scored 21 points and pulled down 15 rebounds in the win. Derrick Ferguson scored 19 a losing effort. 

 

And in Division I, the league-leading Commonwealth Bank Giants knocked off the JD’s Seafood Shockers 95-65.  Michael Bain poured in 20 points in the victory.
