Prime Minister Dr. Hubert Minnis revealed Monday that his government intends to foster a number of new Public-Private Partnerships (PPP) to help cut public spending.
The Minnis administration is set to spend some $66 million dollars on capital expenditure during the upcoming fiscal period.
He said as the government keeps a close eye on its spending, it will soon embark on two major projects – a new court complex and an amalgamated government complex.
The prime minister also asserted that while his administration embarks on infrastructure upgrades, it will also aggressively pursue contractors hired under the former Progressive Liberal Party (PLP) administration, who have not completed construction on government housing.
He confirmed that all contractors who have not produced, will not only be taken to court, but will also be placed on a stop list.
