Health officials confirmed late Friday evening that an additional 10 cases of gastroenteritis have been identified at the Sandals resort affecting both guests and staff.
The issues have reportedly forced the resort to send new guests with reservations to other hotel properties.
Last week Health Minister Dr. Duane Sands revealed that almost 100 guests were infected.
Dr. Sands told Eyewitness News that the new cases have led to further investigation of the property, as all areas have already begun prescribed testing by the centre for disease control and prevention.
Ruling out conch poisoning, ebola, E-coli and other viruses he noted that the hotel has been cooperating with the Ministry of Health to ensure that all protocols are adhered to.
