NASSAU, BAHAMAS- National Security Minister Wayne Munroe says he is hopeful that prison officers can “exercise discipline,” as they await promotions within that government agency.
Munroe says he met with prison staff for three hours to discuss the pending promotions and assured the media on Monday morning that the promotional exercise will be rolled out in January 2024.
His comments came amid reports that prison staff had been calling in sick over the last two weeks due to “low morale,” over stalled promotions.
