Lourawls “Tum Tum” Nairn officially launched his book “Purpose Driven” over the weekend at Nassau Stationers.
Nairn hosted a special meet and greet for his supporters on Saturday. Copies of the book were on sale and will continue to be sold at the bookstore.
“Honestly, this was something I never dreamed of doing,” Nairn said. “The love and support I’ve received has been an accomplishment in my eyes. This is an amazing feeling and I hope I can inspire other kids to help and reach out to people from all walks of life.
“It’s a lot more books to come. I have some big decisions to make on my future, and I’m just walking by faith and taking my time.”
Nairn’s autobiography details the story of his life and his journey from the Bahamas to elite Division I NCAA basketball and beyond.
In his final season at Michigan State University, Nairn was awarded the Stephen G Scofes Inspirational Player Award. It was the third consecutive year he received the honor.
The former Sunrise Christian Academy standout currently works for the Phoenix Suns in the player development department, but says there still a chance that he’ll play professional basketball in the near future.
