NASSAU, BAHAMAS — Wanted murder suspect Travon Stevens has been arrested, according to authorities.
While details on the arrest were not provided, the 36-year-old was wanted for questioning in connection with a recent murder, according to Assistant Superintendent Audley Peters, police press liaison.
Police issued a wanted bulletin for Stevens on Monday.
Eyewitness News understands Stevens is a security guard at TG Glover Primary School.
In 2016, Stevens, who was 32 at the time, was sentenced to three years in prison for shooting a woman in the leg.
He pleaded guilty to housebreaking and causing grievous bodily harm to Wendina Smith in September 2015.
According to the prosecution, Stevens forced entry into the home Smith shared with relatives on Deveaux Street and attacked the women before shooting her in the leg.
