Murder 77

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Police have confirmed that one of two men, who were shot during an early morning double shooting incident outside of a nightclub in Grand Bahama, has succumbed to his injuries.

This killing has pushed the country’s murder count to 77 for 2024.

Preliminary reports indicate that around 1:00 a.m., police were alerted to reports of two (2) males being shot multiple times outside a nightclub on East Sunrise Highway.

Upon arrival at the scene, responding officers confirmed the discovery of two men suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to their upper body; EMS personnel subsequently transported them to the hospital for medical attention, where they remain listed in critical condition, police said.

The circumstances surrounding this incident are currently unknown. Police are actively investigating and will provide updates as more information becomes available, authorities asserted.
