NASSAU, BAHAMAS — On Sunday, January 26, 2025, a shooting on Finlayson Street, Bain Town, claimed the life of a 23-year-old woman.
According to preliminary reports, shortly after 3:00 p.m., two men exited a silver jeep and opened fire on a group of people gathered in the area. The victim, who was seated in a car, was struck by gunfire. The suspects then fled south along Finlayson Street.
The victim was transported to the hospital by private vehicle, where she later succumbed to her injuries.
It was previously reported that the victim was pregnant, however further information revealed this was an error.
Investigations are ongoing.
