The government is reportedly reviewing its recently imposed tax on the gaming industry and have reportedly asked gaming operators to hold off on any mass layoffs as promised until the study is complete.

Gaming operators criticised the government over the tax calling it discriminatory as it was said to have been introduced without consultation.

Attorney Wayne Munroe Q.C. weighed in on the issue noting that if the government decided to delay the tax until the studies are complete. A review would show that their initial studies presented as a rationale for the tax did not apply to the local industry.
