President of the Consultant Physicians Staff Association (CPSA) Dr. Locksley Munroe called comments by the Public Hospitals Authority (PHA) about payments to doctors “plain disrespectful”.
“The PHA has made many statements in the newspaper on the 24 of this month concerning the status of the organization but, despite all the promises they made, they have not contacted us in regards to continuing the negation process,” Munroe told Eyewitness News.
“We had met on the 16 of July and a promise was made that we would meet on the 30 of July after the reviewing of some documents.
Dr. Munroe explained that the association has still not received a counter-proposal, which he said, was promised back in July.
He said to unions representing health care providers all plan to take a strike vote next week.
