Munroe says “wealth, race and background” the target of govt. in new gaming tax

Attorney Wayne Munroe, QC, said gaming house operators are constantly disrespected in their own country, referring to government’s proposed taxation for gaming operators upwards of 20 per cent and reaching a max of 50 per cent o the higher end of the scale.

Munroe, who is one of the lawyers representing the Bahamas Gaming Operators Association (BGOA) in their potential lawsuit against the government said, the Minnis administration is “targeting” his clients because of their “wealth, race and background”.
