Miller-Uibo wins 200m Diamond League title

Shaunae Miller-Uibo set a new national record and a new International Association of Athletic Federations (IAAF) Diamond League record in the finale of the women’s 200 meters (m) today in Zurich.

Miller-Uibo crossed the line in 21.74 seconds, ahead of Dina Asher-Smith, from Great Britain, and Jamaican Elaine Thompson.

Thursday’s win was Miller-Uibo’s third consecutive victory in the women’s 200m and her fourth IAAF Diamond League title.

Miller-Uibo remains undefeated over the course of the past 25 races since she the last World Championships in 2017 in London, England. She earned a cash prize of $50,000 for winning the 12-evert series, which commenced back on May 3 in Paris.
