Miller-Uibo, Thomas selected for IAAF Continental Cup

Both Shaunae Miller-Uibo and Donald Thomas were selected to represent The Bahamas and the Americas at the upcoming

International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) Continental Cup Ostrava, which takes place September 8-9 in the Czech Republic.

Miller-Uibo will compete in the women’s 200-meters (m), while Thomas competes in the men’s high jump.

The Americas team features several of the leading performers from the recent North American, Central American and Caribbean Athletics Association (NACAC) Championships and Central American and Caribbean (CAC) Games.

The fourth edition of the Continental Cup features four teams (Africa, the Americas, Asia-Pacific and Europe) competing across 20 track and field events for men and women, for a total of 40 events. Each team will enter two athletes in each event, except for relays where one team competes with a maximum of one athlete from each country per event.
