NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Police in the capital are investigating the country’s latest murder, which occurred on Wednesday, June 12, 2019 on Dunmore Street.
According to police reports, shortly before 8 p.m. on Wednesday, two men and a woman were in front of a convenience store on Dunmore Street, when a silver Honda Fit pulled up in front of the store. The occupants of the vehicle opened fire in the direction of the two men, injuring one of them.
The victim was rushed to the hospital but he died a short time later.
The victim has been identified as 21-year-old Bradley Smith.
Police are appealing to anyone with information that can assist with this investigation to contact the Central Detective Unit at 502-9991/2 or the nearest police station.
This latest incident pushed the country’s murder count to 38 for the year, according to Eyewitness News Online records.
