NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A two-car collision on Tonique William Darling Highway claimed the life of one man while another recovers in hospital.
Police have recorded 40 traffic fatalities for the year, with 26 road deaths in New Providence.
A man was driving east on the highway in a grey Honda Accord, when a man driving a white Honda Inspire collided into the rear of his cawr shortly before 3am.
Both men lost control of their vehicles, according to police.
The driver of the Honda Inspire was examined by Paramedics and pronounced dead on the scene.
The driver of the Accord was transported to hospital where he is listed in stable condition, police said.
