NASSAU, BAHAMAS — A man is dead and another injured following a collision with two motorcycles shortly after 5 pm on the Eastern Road on Tuesday.
According to reports, both cyclists were traveling west along the Eastern Road, one on a red 70 cc Yamaha motorcycle and one on a red and black 70 cc Yamaha Crypton motorcycle, when they collided with each other.
Both riders were thrown off their vehicles.
One of the men was pronounced dead on the scene and the other was transported to the hospital where he is listed in critical condition.
Police also reported the arrest of three suspects in connection to armed robbery.
Shortly after midnight, police said, a man was at the intersection of Washington Street and Balfour Avenue when he was accosted by two men, one of whom was armed with a gun, who exited a red chevy vehicle.
They robbed him of cash and a cell phone and fled heading east on Balfour Avenue.
Police said moments later a mobile unit stopped a vehicle fitting the description on Marathon Road with three occupants.
After a search of the vehicle, officers found a quantity of cash and arrested the three men.
