Murder count stands at 78 for 2019
NASSAU, BAHAMAS — A man was shot and died in hospital on Buttonwood Street shortly after 4 p.m. on Monday, police said.
Another man was injured during the shooting.
According to reports, the victims were sitting outside a business establishment in the area when two armed men emerged from a gray car and shot them before driving away.
The pair was taken to hospital where one died and the other was treated for non-life threatening injuries, authorities said.
The latest killing pushed the country’s murder count to 78 for 2019.
