Man charged with killing in the course of dangerous driving

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Salvales Fleurius, 38, a Haitian national, appeared Thursday before magistrate Carolyn Vogt-Evans, charged with one count of killing in the course of dangerous driving.

It is alleged that on January 26, Fleurius drove a vehicle south along Minnie Street in a manner dangerous to the public and caused the death of Michael Noelus.

He was also charged with one count of removing a motor vehicle without the owner’s consent.

Charges against him also included the fraudulent use of a license plate as well as driving while not covered against third-party risk.

Fleurius only pleaded guilty to the last charge and has been remanded to the department of corrections pending trial on April 5.
