Man arrested after police find cocaine worth 100K on mailboat

NASSAU, BAHAMAS — Police arrested a 65-year-old man in Inagua after he was found in possession of five kilos of suspected Cocaine valued at $100,000.

Officers reportedly conducted a check of a freezer box onboard a mailboat while on routine patrol shortly after noon on Saturday, January 21.

Police discovered an estimated 11.25 pounds of suspected cocaine hidden beneath a number of seafood items.

Investigations into the matter are ongoing.
