An adjournment date has been set for the man accused of killing Shanindore Neely on Homestead Street back on July 8.
Walter Johnson, 21, was charged with Neely’s murder in the Magistrate’s Court yesterday.
Prosecutors allege that Neely was standing on Homestead Street when a Ford vehicle pulled up next to him.
The occupant fired shots at Neely before driving away.
Court documents say Neely ran to a nearby home and was taken to hospital, where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
Johnson, who appeared before Magistrate Joy Ann Ferguson Pratt, was not required to enter a plea and his bail was denied.
Johnson is expected to return to court on August 14 for service of a voluntary bill of indictment.
