Man appears in court on several charges

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Clint Nicholas Higgs, 30, of Cable Beach, New Providence was arraigned on Thursday before Deputy Chief Magistrate Subusola Swain on various charges.

Higgs was charged with possession of dangerous drugs with the intent to supply. These included 26 grams of cocaine and 4.75 ounces of Indian hemp.

Higgs was also charged on two counts of possessing ammunition without a firearm certificate, and two counts of possessing $18.998, which in part represented the proceeds of criminal conduct, while being concerned with others.

Higgs pleaded not guilty to the charges and bail was denied.

He was remanded to The Bahamas Department of Correctional Services until trial on May 10, 2019.
