NASSAU, BAHAMAS – In an impassioned speech at The Bahamas Technical and Vocational Institute’s (BTVI) graduation ceremony in Grand Bahama on Thursday morning, His Excellency, Sebastian Bastian challenged scores of graduates to have drive, discipline, knowledge and sacrifice as “key ingredients” which he said will be critical to the graduates’ success as skilled laborers in country.
Bastian shared at great length about various things which led to his success as a millionaire by the age of 23; while also contributing to his success as a serial entrepreneur, operating 10 businesses which employ over 2000 individuals.
H. E. Bastian further spoke to “financial literacy and wealth generation”, admonishing students to avoid using one’s “borrowing capacity for a liability.”
Over 100 individuals received their diplomas in a ceremony held at the Grand Lucayan Resort Thursday morning, the official ceremony served as the culmination of their studies in various skill-based areas.
