NASSAU, BAHAMAS — Junior Achievement (JA) New Providence hosted its annual speech competition earlier this month at New Providence Community Centre on Blake Road.
Out of 18 achievers, three won top prizes for their amazing speeches.
- 1st place: Nickytha Georges (BOB JA Company).
- 2nd place: Jaden Bethel (Sunshine Finance JA Company).
- 3rd place: Atiya Rolle (BOB JA Company).
On Wednesday, February 23, Junior Achievement New Providence will be presenting the first and third place winners with their trophies at Bank of the Bahamas on Village Road at 4pm.
JA is the leading youth organization in The Bahamas, dedicated to fostering youth innovation, financial literacy, entrepreneurship, work readiness and now college preparedness.
Since JA’s existence, over 30,000 students have been impacted through its programmes, mentorship opportunities and public workshops. As a result, students are given opportunities to enhance their skills and be more equipped for their future.
Under the theme “One JA Bahamas United for Growth: Charting A Course to Endless Possibilities”, JA Bahamas is approaching 43 years of youth development in The Bahamas.
