NASSAU, BAHAMAS — An agreement was signed today that saw Island Luck Sportsbook become a sponsor of the Bahamas Flag Football League.

The Bahamas Flag Football league has become a mainstay for football enthusiasts across Nassau since it launched in 2009, with hundreds of players, coaches, referees, and fans gathering on the Thomas A. Robinson Fields every Sunday throughout the season.

It’s one of the largest adult sports leagues in the country, with over 350 players competing across 14 teams.

In a press statement, the company said when the opportunity arose to support the thriving league, it wasted no time in pushing for a deal.

Island Luck Sportsbook re-launched at the end of 2021 and has quickly established itself as the best place to wager sports in the Bahamas.

“Island Luck has always been deeply rooted in the local community, and we’re proud to continue our legacy under the Island Luck Sportsbook brand,” said Senior Marketing Manager, Kenny Mackey.

“The Bahamas Flag Football League has built up a reputation for fierce but friendly competition every Sunday, as well as promoting health and wellbeing. Through this partnership, we are able to connect with a wide range of sports fans and increase awareness of how Island Luck Sportsbook can bring excitement to any game”

Bianca Lee, President of the Bahamas Flag Football League said the organization is excited about the sponsorship.

The level of interest we have received from Island Luck Sportsbook matches the energy we experience each Sunday at the T.A.R. Fields during the Bahamas Flag Football League 2022 Regular Season events,” Lee said.

“Flag Football is a passion for those of us that are members of this League and we appreciate those that understand how important the game is to us.  The BFFL started in 2009 with a small group of players on Goodman’s Bay and grew into a league of greater than 750 members at its peak.”

She added: “The BFFL is looking forward to the opportunity of working with Island Luck Sportsbook to support the continued growth of the league.”

Flag football resumes at 1pm on Sunday, June 5, at the Thomas A. Robinson Fields.
