Illegal firearms recovered, three males in custody

NASSAU, BAHAMAS –  Three men were taken into custody on Tuesday, April 2, 2019 after two illegal firearms and ammunition were recovered in separate incidents.

According to police reports, in the first incident, shortly before 2:00p.m., Central Detective Unit Officersexecuted a search warrant at a residence on Ragged Island Street and recovered a .45mm pistol and 12 rounds of ammunition.

Two adult males were taken into custody.

In the second incident, shortly after 2:00p.m., South Central Division Officersexecuted a search warrant at a residence on Pebbles Drive and recovered a .40mm Pistol and fifteen 15 rounds of ammunition.

An adult male was taken into custody.

Investigations are said to be ongoing.
