Illegal firearm recovered

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Police in the capital recovered an illegal firearm on Wednesday, May 1, 2019.

According to police reports, shortly before 8:00p.m., Drug Enforcement Unit Officers, acting on information, conducted a search of an abandoned vehicle on Father Calnan Street off Baillou Hill Road and recovered a 9mm pistol and two rounds of ammunition.

No arrest was made in this incident.

Investigations are ongoing.
