Hundreds turn out for Buju launch party

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – (February 10, 2019) – Hundreds of reggae and dancehall fans turned out recently for the launch party of Buju Banton’s Long Walk To Freedom tour.

Banton is scheduled to perform for 15,000 screaming fans on March 30, 2019 at the Thomas A. Robinson National Stadium.

According to Paradise Productions, which is organizing the event, a few of Banton’s friends will also hit the stage for performances. However, organizers are remaining tight-lipped about those performers for now.

The launch party, which was held at Breezes Hotel on Cable Beach and hosted by David Bong, saw diehard fans mixing with local entertainers and politicians.

Visage played a string of hits throughout the night while DJ Pencil and DJ Studda kept the mood fun.

Junkanoo performers, fire dancers and several local singers entertained the crowd for hours.

Paradise Productions’ executive team also addressed Buju’s fans and urged them to purchase concert tickets early.

During the launch, fans were treated to a taped message from Banton, who said he was excited to return to his second home, The Bahamas.

The night ended with fireworks and a high-energy Junkanoo rushout.

Organizers say concert safety is a top priority and will be provided by Falcon Security/Damas Group, in conjunction with the Royal Bahamas Police Force.

Tickets for the event are available online at www.paradiseproductionsinc.com or at Cash N’ Go, which is the official ticket distributor.

Early bird ticket sales began February 1st and last through March 1. These prices are currently: General Admission – $65; VIP – $125; Platinum – $200; and All Access – $350.

Sponsors for the event include: Aliv, Bahama Blu, Breezes, Cash N’ Go, Global Trip Network, Karam, Missick & Bowe, Nassau Sports Authority, Paradise Communications, Rev, Top Notch Builders Ltd. and Western Air.
