NASSAU, BAHAMAS — A man believed to be in his mid-thirties is dead after being stabbed in the neck, the latest incident adding to a violent stretch of days in the nation’s capital.
Police Press Liaison Chrislyn Skippings advised the media late Friday evening that police were notified around 10 pm that a man was staggering north along Baillou Road with lacerations on his neck before he collapsed in front of a passerby’s vehicle. When emergency medical services arrived, the victim showed no signs of life. Investigations into this matter continue.
Almost twenty-four hours before this latest reported incident, a man was killed in the Fox Dale subdivision, marking the country’s 59th murder.
The day before that, a shooting incident in the Magistrate’s Court parking lot left a man in serious condition.
Two days before that, a man was shot in Nassau Village.
