NASSAU, BAHAMAS- It’s usually the kids who have the most fun at Christmastime. But in Nassau Village, Member of Parliament Jamahl Strachan wanted to make sure that the adults in his constituency also felt the joy of the season.
Kids in Nassau Village enjoyed food, treats, bouncing castles, games and lots of Christmas gifts, including everyone’s favourite – new bicycles. They also enjoyed fun rides on a fire engine, while learning about fire safety. Their parents and other adults had some fun of their own. There was food, games and fun for the grown ups as well; but what they really enjoyed was the surprise Mr Strachan had in store.
Lucky attendees of the Nassau Village Christmas in the Park Party walked away with flat screen televisions, while others received refrigerators, microwaves and other appliances.
The event was held on the main Nassau Village Park on Saturday, December 13, 2025, and build’s on the mandate: “A Stronger Village”. MP Strachan made sure to reach out to as many constituents as he could to hear about their experiences in their community, and to wish them a safe and blessed holiday season.
