Higgs suffers knee injury in win over Quinnipiac

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The Texas Longhorns women’s basketball team lost one of its leading scorers to injury on Friday night.

Lashann Higgs went down with a left knee injury with 6:55 left to go in the first half in a 56-55 win over Quinnipiac.

On a drive to the rim, Higgs planted close to the rim and collapsed to the floor, appearing to be in excruciating pain. She had to be carried off the floor for evaluation, however, there was no determination after the game about the severity of the injury.

Prior to the injury, Higgs averaged 16.3 points through three games. She posted a season-high of 20 points in a 64-54 win over North Texas.
