NASSAU, BAHAMAS—HG Christie will sponsor the inaugural Bahamas Real Estate Exchange (BRX) event, designed to bring together industry partners for meaningful discourse and to foster solutions that enhance real estate buyers’ and sellers’ services.
According to BRX founder and HG Christie Estate Agent Daren Seymour, this half-day event, scheduled for September 28 at Blossom Hall, Goldwynn Resort and Residences, will feature panel discussions and networking opportunities.
“It’s a visionary event that originated from my desire to facilitate networking and an exchange of knowledge within the industry,” Seymour explained, detailing his motivation for launching BRX.
“The objective is to really bring all the players together, the industry partners for healthy discourse and really foster solutions and give better real estate services. One of the main objectives is to really get these players together in one place to discuss how we can provide the best services for our clients.”
While the event isn’t exclusively targeted at realtors, Seymour emphasized that BRX is centered around “buyers and sellers,” with realtors playing a key role in the network.
“We’re looking to address current market realities, enhance networking, promote listings, and to hear from industry participants,” he added.
The initiative will feature consultation booths for financial advice, representatives from the Bahamas Contractors Association, and a real estate desk showcasing exciting listings and information. Topics will include prequalification, strategic real estate selling, industry standards, and other relevant subjects.
Panelists and speakers include representatives from CIBC Caribbean, Scotiabank Bahamas, Villa Nova, Goldwynn Residences, the Bahamas Contractors Association, the Department of Inland Revenue, Palm Cay, Senator Darron S. Pickstock, a partner at Glinton Sweeting O’Brien, and HG Christie Managing Broker John Christie.
Christie expressed enthusiasm for the inaugural event and HG Christie’s sponsorship, stating, “HGC has always been a leader in real estate innovation in The Bahamas as the oldest real estate company and the first one on the internet in 1995.
