Haitian National charged with fraudulent marriage

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Louizelien Louis, 37, a  Haitian national was charged on Monday with fraudulent marriage.

Louis was charged with making a false declaration to a marriage officer on June 6, 2017.

Louis was then charged with possession of a false document, uttering a false document, fraud by false pretenses, conspiracy to commit illegal marriage and fraudulent marriage after he willfully entered into a marriage with Indera Indiana Wilson, a Bahamian female, on June 26, 2017.

The accused pleaded guilty to all charges and was remanded to the Bahamas Department of Corrections until Jan. 18, 2019.
