Govt. ministers split on views over march against VAT

As hundreds of Bahamians made their way to Rawson Square to confront government on the proposed tax increase, government ministers offered mixed reviews about Thursday’s march.

While Health Minister Dr. Duane Sands gave the march a positive review, an agitated Minister of Agriculture and Marine Resources Renward Wells gave the protest a scathing reprimand.

Meantime, Centerville Member of Parliament (MP) Reece Chipman, remained opposed to his own party’s budget agenda.
