The government is going after persons who owe real property tax arrears, according to Minister of Finance Peter Turnquest.
The recent comments came as Turnquest told Rotarians last week that millions of dollars are owed to the government for the tax.
What’s worse, he said, is that the majority of persons who owe can pay but choose not to.
Turnquest said, while enforcing the law will not make him popular, he has to do the job he was hired to do by the Bahamian people.
