Govt. agencies hold press conference on status of tragedy victims

It wasn’t long after the tragedy unfolded on East Street that physicians, police, government and union officials gathered to host a news conference to update media with the specifics on the status of the victims of the traffic accident, which left 4 dead and 20 more injured.

Reporters found it difficult to hold back tears Friday as for many, the human element kicked in and the tears began to fall.

Labour Minister Dion Foulkes choked with emotion as he addressed the media. He was joined by Trae Union Congress President Obie Ferguson and National Trade Union Congress Union President Bernard Evans.
