NASSAU, BAHAMAS – National Security Minister Wayne Munroe has announced plans to amend the Parliamentary Elections Act to implement biometric voter cards and e-polling books
.
Munroe, who oversees the Parliamentary Registration Department, Elections and Referenda, says the new systems will be safer, easier to use, and reduce the risk of human error.
No date has been given for when debate on the amendments will begin.
