Glinton Sweeting O’Brien secures recertification in the premier global network of independent law firms

NASSAU, BAHAMAS — Glinton Sweeting O’Brien (GSO) has announced its successful recertification as a member of Meritas, a premier global alliance of independent law firms. This achievement underscores the firm’s unwavering commitment to providing its clients with exceptional legal services and cutting-edge, practical solutions.

The Meritas network consists of over 7,000 lawyers from top-tier firms in more than 180 markets, and the alliance is renowned for its stringent quality assurance program and requirements. Every three years, a rigorous review and comprehensive recertification process is conducted to ensure its member firms meet the organization’s rigorous criteria. The process encompasses a review of client satisfaction, professional conduct, and overall service quality.

Glinton Sweeting O’Brien is the only Bahamian Meritas Firm and one of only seven in the Caribbean. Meritas membership is selective and by invitation only.

According to the organization, the strength of the network is built on its stringent membership requirements.

“Businesses trust the strong quality of our member firms and recognize our extensive collective capabilities. Meritas is easy to work with – clients tap into any member firm and access responsive, on-the-ground expertise in markets important to their success,” said Sona Pancholy, president of Meritas. “Glinton Sweeting O’Brien has demonstrated these world-class legal standards, and we’re thrilled to have them continue their alliance with Meritas.”

“We are honored to be recertified by Meritas, an acknowledgment that reflects our steadfast commitment to excellence and the trust clients place in our expertise,” said Bryan Glinton, managing partner at GSO. This recertification reinforces our position as a leading law firm dedicated to delivering unparalleled legal expertise and client service.”
