GB police investigate alleged drowning

DEADMAN’S REEF, GRAND BAHAMA – Police in Grand Bahama are investigating an alleged drowning that happened last Friday.

According to police reports, on Friday, January 4, shortly after 2:00p.m., police were called to the Deadman’s Reef Beach, where it was reported that a male while snorkeling in waters began experiencing difficulties and was later discovered unresponsive.

Emergency medical personnel along with the doctor from the West End Community Clinic were called to the scene and pronounced him dead.

Police are actively investigating this matter.
