NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Police in Grand Bahama confiscated two (2) high-powered firearms on Wednesday August 14, 2024, around 9:30 p.m.
Preliminary reports indicate that the Drug Enforcement Unit officers were on mobile patrols at Graveyard Corner when they observed a group of males congregating in an abandoned building; however, as the officers approached, the males fled, making good on their escape, police said.
As a result, the officers searched the building and discovered two (2) high-powered firearms, one of which contained ammunition, authorities revealed.
Investigations are ongoing into this matter.
