Police continue to clamp down on residents in Grand Bahama for failing to adhere to emergency protocols.
Authorities cited 11 people on Wednesday for not wearing a face mask, according to police.
According to police, a team of officers were deployed throughout the island between 10am and 6pm in an effort “to sensitize the general public to continue to wear their face mask, to prevent any criminal activities, and to maintain high visibility of police presence throughout Grand Bahama”.
Police reminded the public that failure to wear a face mask carries a penalty of $200.
As of yesterday, Grand Bahama had 601 cases of COVID-19.
Total cases stood at 3,087 as of yesterday.
