GB firearm seizure leads to arrest

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A 33-year-old male is in police custody after officers in Grand Bahama confiscated an unlicensed firearm on Friday, August 23, 2024.

Preliminary reports confirmed that “around 10:00 p.m., officers, acting on information, arrived at a licensed premises situated on East Sunrise Highway, where they searched a male on the exterior and discovered on his person an unlicensed firearm that contained a quantity of ammunition, subsequently leading to his arrest.”

Investigations into this matter are ongoing.
