GB DEU arrest 5 men in separate incidents

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Police in Grand Bahama arrested five males in four separate incidents who were found to be in possession of a quantity of cash and dangerous drugs.

According to police reports, on Tuesday, Dec. 18, shortly before 8:00 p.m., Drug Enforcement Unit officers while on mobile patrol, stopped a silver Chrysler town and country van with two male occupants, who were found in possession of over $15,000.00 in U.S and Bahamian currency.

The men were subsequently arrested after being unable to give a satisfactory reason for having the funds in their possession.

In the second incident, officers executed a search warrant at a residence on John Rutt Lane, Hudson Estates, where they discovered a quantity of suspected marijuana.

A male was arrested and taken into police custody.

In the third and fourth incidents, Drug Enforcement Unit officers, while on Adventurers Way, arrested two males in two separate incidents after they were found in possession of a quantity of suspected marijuana.
