Fusion Superplex patrons getting value for money

NASSAU, BAHAMAS –  Despite plunging ticket sales globally to watch a movie at a theatre, the  Fusion Superplex, the new kids on the entertainment block, have managed to beat the odds by offering movies, entertainment and restaurant services for its patrons under one roof.

The theatre’s owners are hopeful that this unique strategy will boost sales and generate a profit.

Bridgewater said while many expressed their concern about ‘pricey tickets’ to watch a show at the Imax Theater when it initially opened its doors last November, patrons are now realizing that they are getting value for their money.

“About 10 years ago we got together and we needed to do something about entertainment and about family,” Bridgewater said, adding that the Fusion Superplex is also a hub for persons to come and enjoy themselves.

“Fusion is about community and it’s about fusing all of the different aspects of fun and family together.”

Research has shown that ticket sales for movie theaters worldwide have decreased by

15 per cent for the past decade. Entertainment platforms and gadgets like Hulu, Firestick and Netflix make access to more On-Demand shows easier for viewers to watch from the comfort of their home.

But Bridgewater noted, however, that this is why shaping the theater experience for its guests is so vital.

“We have on-edge entertainment as well as the DJ.

“Young professionals and families can come here at different times and get different experiences.

“We are competing globally, we are competing with Disney and places like Universal Studios because this is an experience.

“When you come here you get butler service, leather seating, an 80-feet wide Imax screen, environmental effects, you don’t get that sitting at home.

“We also have restaurants, and a beautiful breathtaking view of Baha Mar.”

Besides a variation of theatre rooms to choose from with different screens and seating preferences. The complex has a game arcade, and a 24-7 play room for kids who can be taken cared of while their parents or guardian watch a movie.

The complex also has a live band that performs on its outdoor terrace twice a week.
