Lucius Fox continued to climb the minor league ladder on Saturday, when he was promoted to Double-A Montgomery.
The Biscuits are the Double-A affiliate of the Tampa Bay Rays and plays in the Southern League.
The shortstop prospect was in the midst of a productive season for High-A Charlotte, hitting .282/.371/.353 with 23 steals and two home runs in 89 games.
In his first game with the team on Monday, Fox drove in Brett Sullivan with a sacrifice hit in the seventh inning, leading the Biscuits to a 7-3 win over the Pensacola Blue Wahoos on Sunday.
The sacrifice hit by Fox, part of a two-run inning, tied the game 2-2 before Nathan Lukes hit an RBI single later in the inning.
