Firearm, ammo and suspected drugs found in abandoned building

NASSAU, BAHAMAS  – Police recovered two illegal firearms from the streets of New Providence on Sunday, February 10.

According to police reports, shortly after 6:00 p.m., Flying Squad Officers, acting on information, conducted a search of an abandoned building at Rupert Dean Lane and Patton Street and recovered a .45 pistol with four rounds of ammunition, a .357 revolver and a small quantity of suspected marijuana.

Police are actively investigating this matter with a view of identifying persons who were in possession of these firearms and dangerous drugs.
