Fire dept. still investigating cause of blaze at Paradise Fisheries

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – As police continue their investigation into the blaze that gutted the warehouse of Paradise Fisheries on Mt. Royal Avenue on Saturday, the cause of the blaze still remains unknown.

When Eyewitness News Online contacted Fire Services Director Chief Supt. Walter Evans for an update, he would only say that investigations are still underway.

Company heads also refrained from giving a statement yesterday.

When Eyewitness News Online visited Paradise Fisheries, staff were working diligently to salvage any items that they could. An employee said in passing that from what they had gathered thus far, it appeared as if the fire was reportedly connected to an electrical shortage.
