Samita Ferguson has been appointed Executive Manager of the Over-the-Hill Development Unit (OTHDU) within the Office of the Prime Minister.
Ferguson possesses over 20 years of management and leadership experience garnered at the Royal Bank of Canada and a prominent retail business.
For the implementation of OTH Initiative, Ferguson’s experience will serve purposeful by helping to expand its operations, grow satisfaction among residents, and disseminate information to the public.
Ferguson holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Mass Communications from Lee University in Cleveland, Tennessee.
Her personal mantra aligns with the OTH Initiative – to change the paradigm of an individual, use the arts and educational tools to bring reform, and empower people to be agents of change.
The OTH Initiative aims to transform and revitalize inner-city communities by creating a sense of ownership, belonging, and pride among OTH residents.
Six key initiatives, aligned with the 2030 Global Goals for Sustainable Development, guides the OTH Initiative – social empowerment, economic empowerment, rejuvenation, green technology, smart technology, and youth and elderly social interventions.
