NASSAU, BAHAMAS — As a part of Commander Defence Force Commodore Dr Raymond King’s strategic plans for outreach throughout the communities and strengthening community relations, members of the Royal Bahamas Defence Force (RBDF) Airwing Department took time out to give lending hands to the Gambier Primary School on May 6, 2021.

Led by Commanding Officer of the RBDF Airwing Department Commander Reno Major, the team of officers and marines visited the school in Gambier Village to assist in removing debris and old furniture from the premises. They utilized a rental disposal bin to discard the unwanted supplies, after which the team cleaned the storage room.

As part of its ongoing partnership with the school, King assured the organization’s commitment to ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for the faculty, staff and students.

School Principal Deloris Forbes was grateful for the RBDF’s continued assistance over the years.

Major was pleased with his team’s performance and noted it is ready to assist where necessary.

As the RBDF patrols and protect the territorial integrity of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas, the organization also focuses on nation-building for the younger generation.
