NASSAU, BAHAMAS — C&W Communications, the parent company of Flow, Flow Business, C&W Business, and BTC, will host its annual Cable & Wireless Charitable Foundation (CWCF) fundraising gala on November 1, with a focus on supporting underserved and vulnerable communities across the Caribbean.
The event will take place aboard the Seafair Luxury Yacht in downtown Miami, bringing together supporters, partners, and stakeholders to raise funds for the foundation’s work in disaster relief, education, and digital inclusion.
Rosario Veras, Executive Director of CWCF, noted the foundation’s ongoing efforts since its establishment in 2017, in response to the devastation caused by Hurricanes Irma and Maria. “Since then, we’ve been dedicated to enabling progress and building more resilient communities across the region,” Veras said.
She emphasized the fundraiser’s significance, calling it “a celebration of hope, resilience, and our shared commitment to creating lasting change.” The funds raised, she added, “help us deliver critical disaster relief, expand access to education, and bridge the digital divide for communities in need.”
The gala will feature live entertainment, fine dining, and stories showcasing the impact of CWCF’s work. All proceeds will go directly toward community projects, including support for hurricane-stricken areas and initiatives that expand educational opportunities and digital access for underserved populations.
Since its inception, the CWCF has played a key role in rebuilding schools, supporting disaster-hit regions, and launching digital programs aimed at bridging the technology gap in the Caribbean.
