Sydney Clarke turned in a number of strong performances over the summer in both singles and doubles action, and as a result, was listed as the No. 1 ranked female junior tennis athletes, both nationally and internationally.
Clarke played on the International Tennis Federation (ITF) Junior Circuit and came up with two singles wins in three final appearances, and a doubles win in three final appearances.
Over the weekend, she closed out the summer circuit with a singles win in the Wadadii Bowl in Antigua and Barbuda, defeating American Amy Kaplan 3-6, 7-6 and 6-3.
In doubles action, Clarke, and her partner Riley-Cordington from Barbados, lost in the finals to Jade Marie from the United States, and Audrey Moutama from Curacao.
The scores of the doubles final were, 7-5, 3-6.
